We delivered a scathing indictment of the health authorities, stating unequivocally that everyone in Alberta Health Services (AHS) promoting these childhood vaccines needed to be held accountable.

Ban all COVID-19 spike protein-generating mRNA shots immediately, prioritizing a halt on injections in children.
Acknowledge, help, treat, and compensate those injured by mRNA COVID-19 injections.
Hold accountable those responsible for knowingly misleading the public and withholding early treatment for COVID-19.
Initiate regular availability of repurposed early therapeutics in all pharmacies.

The Empty Chairs and Institutional Panic
Before we even stepped to the microphone, the institutional resistance was highly coordinated. Eventbrite abruptly deplatformed our ticket sales within 24 hours of launch. Furthermore, vocal proponents of the government narrative—most notably Timothy Caulfield—flatly refused formal, public invitations from MLA Eric Bouchard to debate the data on stage.
The intention of the organizers was to invite both supporters and critics of the current COVID-19 vaccination policies to examine this alarming mortality data. Those who support current vaccination policies outright refused the invitation. This predictable retreat from scientific discovery was spearheaded by the Edmonton Zone Medical Staff Association (EZMSA) and heavily promoted on social media by Caulfield. He proudly amplified the EZMSA’s “Open Letter in Support of Public Health,” signed by over 125 so-called “interdisciplinary experts.”
Rather than address the undeniable, catastrophic surge in unexplained youth mortality in Alberta, or the genomic reality of DNA contamination, they resorted to logical fallacies. The letter explicitly condemned our gathering, stating: “Setting public health policy by recruiting discredited and unlicensed doctors and spokespersons who cater to an anti-science agenda is dangerous.” Furthermore, it dismissed our rigorous presentation of provincial mortality and pharmacovigilance data as merely “fear-mongering by anti-vaccination proponents transmitting fringe opinions informed by hearsay and innuendo.”
To conflate our highly specific, data-driven critique of mRNA COVID-19 injections with a broad attack on a century of traditional childhood vaccines—as the EZMSA letter deliberately did by stating we “actively jeopardize the health of our children”—is a classic strawman argument. We were not debating 50 years of traditional immunology; we were auditing the catastrophic failure of a novel modRNA platform.
It is incredibly telling that despite the initial fervor to amplify this letter across legacy media, the EZMSA has since quietly scrubbed the “Open Letter” from their website. They weaponized their institutional titles for a short-term media hit, only to delete the evidence when faced with the prospect of long-term scientific scrutiny. Fortunately, we keep receipts. The media fallout following the press conference proved that legacy outlets were roughly three years behind the actual science. The panicked reactions of an establishment devoid of empirical defense were highly coordinated:
The Tyee’s “Anti-Science Fever”: A month following the press conference, The Tyee published a hit piece titled “Alberta’s COVID Legacy: Anti-science Fever and Deep Distrust,” attempting to paint the entire event as a fringe gathering. The article quoted a University of Calgary associate law professor who complained that because sitting UCP government members attended, it added “credibility” and “legitimacy” to our findings—effectively admitting that their censorship efforts were failing.
Political Grandstanding: Then-NDP Leader Rachel Notley weaponized the event to score political points. Notley intentionally misconstrued Dr. Makis’s highly specific critique of the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta (CPSA) as an attack on all front-line healthcare workers.
False Equivalencies: A University of Alberta infectious disease physician took to Global News to call the event “damaging for public health,” bizarrely likening our presentation of empirical data to the tactics of the tobacco industry. Meanwhile, a U of A bioethicist called the town hall a “reckless misrepresentation,” clinging to the crumbling narrative that these experimental injections are “overwhelmingly safe.”
Credential Deflections: Reporters from legacy media outlets like CTV News ignored the massive spikes in adverse events, choosing instead to attack our credentials. They falsely labeled me “not a medical doctor” to imply a lack of expertise, willfully ignoring my Ph.D. in Virology and two decades of diagnostic leadership. They labeled Dr. Bridle merely a “veterinarian,” ignoring his Ph.D. in viral immunology—a false claim so egregious the outlet was later forced to issue an official correction.

This staggering accumulation of scientific truth must not fall on deaf ears. It is no longer acceptable for elected officials to hide behind the decrees of captured regulatory agencies. The burden now rests entirely on our political representatives to accept this reality, protect the public, and hold those responsible for this disaster to account. We will never allow scientific rigour to be sacrificed on the altar of political expediency. We will continue to stand united, support the vaccine-injured, and demand justice.

While the public stage was a battleground for truth, the moments that followed provided a profound reminder of why we fight. The VIP reception after the event was a true blessing—a rare opportunity to step out of the clinical trenches and connect with the extraordinary leaders spearheading this movement. Standing shoulder-to-shoulder with fellow scientists, unyielding medical doctors, brilliant legal experts, and, most importantly, the everyday, normal people who have sacrificed so much to demand transparency, reinforced the sheer strength of our alliance.
The camaraderie in that room was a powerful testament to the fact that while the establishment may have institutions, we have the truth and an unbreakable community. It was also a moment to share a well-earned laugh amidst the heavy lifting. Given Alberta’s ongoing political momentum to assert its provincial sovereignty against federal overreach, CA President Darrell Komick made sure I was properly equipped for the road ahead—officially presenting me with my very own “Alberta Passport.” A slight poke at the powers that be, perhaps, but a highly fitting symbol of a province absolutely refusing to bow to captured federal institutions.
A Catalyst for Historic Change: The Alberta Success Story
We did not stand on that stage merely to voice our concerns; we stood there to force a paradigm shift. And despite the documented, institutional panic, the coordinated media deflections, and the willful ignorance of the medical establishment, the empirical data we presented could not be suppressed. “An Injection of Truth” served as a powerful catalyst for historic, tangible change in Alberta.
In the months that followed our town hall and press conference, the provincial landscape shifted dramatically:
The Alberta Bill of Rights Amendment (Bill 24): In late 2024, Premier Danielle Smith’s government successfully introduced and passed sweeping amendments to the Alberta Bill of Rights. These amendments officially enshrined medical bodily autonomy into law. Albertans are now explicitly protected from being coerced or pressured into receiving vaccines or medical treatments without their full, uninhibited consent. The days of mandate-driven terminations and medical coercion in Alberta’s public institutions are over.
The Davidson Task Force Report: In January 2025, the Alberta COVID-19 Pandemic Data Review Task Force, chaired by Dr. Gary Davidson, released its highly anticipated final report.
